About Jeanne

Jeanne had been a professional artist for over thirty years, as well as a University professor teaching fibers at Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft, a unique facility for fine craft education overlooking Center Hill Lake in central Tennessee.

Her professional education includes a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Printmaking & Drawing, and a Masters of Fine Art in Surface and Textile Design from East Carolina University.

Jeanne’s art making centers around content-based weavings, works on paper, hand made books, and most often works on fabrics.

Her fabric work begins with undyed cloth. All images, motifs, textures and colors are designed by Jeanne layer upon layer, to create richly surfaced fabrics unique to each piece. No two fabrics are alike. Colorants are either Fiber Reactive dyes or Textile pigments, both permanent, and wash & wear safe.

All works of art from Jeanne Brady Designs are well-crafted using highest quality materials and methods.
